Ru Xiaofan was born in 1964 in Nanjing, China and currently lives and works in Paris, France. He graduated from School of Fine Arts Nanjing Normal University in 1982 and then graduated from École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts de Paris in 1986. In 1987, he held his first solo exhibition in Paris. He won the scholarship of Velázquez School in Madrid and entered into the Larousse Dictionary of Contemporary Artists (author: Paascale Le Thorel). Ru Xiaofan has held solo and group shows in museums and galleries around the world, such as Suzhou Museum, Today Art Museum, Quintessens Gallery, Macon Museum, Shanghai Art Museum, Amsterdam International Art Fair, Chapelle Saint Jacques, Cernuschi Museum, SOMA Museum, RX Gallery and more. His works collected in Michelen Foundation Collection Sosume, National Fund for Contemporary Art, Korean Museum of Contemporary Art, Today Art Musem, Collection du Colas and so on.

 

Ru Xiaofan began his artistic creation with Chinese ink on Chinese rice paper. His most famous flower collection was inspired by the beauty of nature.

 

茹小凡1954年出生于中国南京,目前工作居住于法国巴黎。1982年毕业于南京师范大学美术学院后于1986年从法国高等美术学院毕业。1987年,在巴黎举办了自己的首个个人画展。他获得马德里委拉斯贵支学校的奖学金并且进入《拉鲁斯画家辞典》(作者:Paascale Le Thorel)。他在世界各地各地博物馆与画廊举办了个展与群展,如苏州博物馆,今日美术馆,Quintessens画廊,Macon博物馆,上海美术馆,阿姆斯特丹国际艺术博览会,圣雅克现代艺术中心,赛努奇博物馆,SOMA博物馆,RX画廊等。作品收藏在米其林基金会,所罗门基金会,法国国家当代艺术基金会,韩国当代艺术博物馆,今日美术馆, Colas俱乐部等。

 

茹小凡从中国宣纸上的中国墨水开始了艺术创作,其最著名花卉系列的灵感来自于自然之美。
